Shirin Sabahi is a Berlin-based artist. Her projects are about built culture, from private spaces to public facilities such as parks, swimming pools, memorials, and museums and their collections. She works with a variety of media including film, installation, photography, sculpture, print, and drawing.

Exhibitions and screenings of her work took place at Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k.) (2025); Galleri Format, Malmö (2024, solo); V&A Museum, London (2021) and many more. Her works are in public collections including Centre national des arts plastiques (CNAP), France; Stavanger Kunstmuseum, Norway; and Artothek of Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k.) / Central Berlin Library, Germany, among others. 

Prizes include the best experimental film award at the Lisbon Architecture Film Festival and the best short film award at Asolo Art Film Festival (both 2019) and Magic of Persia Contemporary Art Award (2012).

She studied at the Art University in Tehran and at the Malmö art Academy and is currently the interim professor of Arts Praxis at the HBK—Braunschweig University of Art.
